Philosophy

This site will describe what is observed in an open court. Here, you will get more insight into what I experience when I go to work. Also, if you have never been to court or only have views related from the media, this is the raw truth.

Why I decided to create this website: Since I am an avid viewer of crime documentaries and crime television series, my only perspective was reflected from watching or reading about court hearings and trials. Well, let me tell you…it is a whole other world, when sitting in court. This site will educate about what my position is in the court room.

The reason why I wanted to gain education and knowledge in the criminal justice field is because I was always interested in the dynamics of a criminal and making a difference in this world. I knew that my job will not just benefit myself, but benefit others. Since, the criminal justice system is a controversial topic, I would like to be a part of a generation that can alter the system in a more positive and just way. The criminal justice system is a complicated structure that has been in the news lately because of its unfair and cruel treatment towards defendants, as well as, victims.

Something that I want to be able to change about the system is the fact that sexual assault victims are not receiving restitution. When it comes to the punishments of the offenders, they are not proportioned to the crime itself.

This site will detail what kind of work I perform in the courthouse and what my position is in the court room!
